Chiropractic Insurance

When you need chiropractic care, insurance questions will often linger in your mind alongside questions about your care. Finding a chiropractor that takes insurance can be difficult, but at Midtown East Chiro, we accept most major insurance plans and carriers.
Chiropractic insurance coverage often includes special plans and extenuating circumstances like worker’s compensation and Medicare. Plans often have certain conditions on chiropractic care, visits, and insurance. You should discuss these conditions with your insurance carrier before receiving treatment so that you will be aware of your financial responsibility toward treatment costs before visiting.

This list does not warrant that a plan will be accepted. All insurance benefits and plans MUST BE verified before a patient receives chiropractic treatment from our office or providers.
Your insurance plan may have limitations on chiropractic care. You should make yourself aware of these limits before receiving treatment.
Insurance specifications on chiropractic treatment may include:
Mandatory referral from a medical specialist or primary care physician stating chiropractic care is medically necessary
A limit to the number of office visits you may have in either a given month or year of coverage
A list of chiropractors or offices you may visit
The chiropractor may need to create an official care plan for your treatment
Some insurance plans require you to meet an annual deductible before they cover and pay for treatments

The Benefits of Using Your Health Insurance for Chiropractic Care

While you can pay out of pocket for chiropractic care, using insurance can have many benefits, including:
Payments 50%–100% of bill: Depending on your specific insurance benefits, your carrier may pay anywhere from 50% to 100% of your treatment costs. You may or may not have a copay, but it will usually be cheaper than paying for the entire treatment out of pocket.
Payments count towards deductible and out‒of‒pocket max: All insurance plans have cost caps towards a deductible and an out‒of‒pocket max for the coverage year. When insurance payments are applied to chiropractic care, they apply to these two amounts.
